Everything You Need To Know About The Mom Blog
Hey everyone! I built the Mom Blog as a space for our YouSchool community to actually connect between Tuesdays, and I want to make sure you know everything it can do — because there's more than you might think.
Getting started is simple. Head to the Mom Blog from your dashboard and you'll land on the feed. You'll see posts from other moms sorted by newest, but you can also sort by Most Popular, Most Discussed, or Most Viewed — and filter by category like Parenting Tips, Recipes, Self-Care, or Milestones. There's also a Following tab that shows only posts from people you follow, so you can build your own little corner of the community.
Writing a post is where it gets fun. Hit the big "Write a Story" button and you'll get a full editor. Give your post a title, pick a category, write your story, and add tags so people can find it. Before you publish, you've got some cool options:
Visibility — Keep it just for yourself (private), share with all Mom Blog members, make it public on Google, or (if you're an admin) broadcast it across all co-ops on the platform.
Anonymous — Post without your name showing. Perfect for topics you want to share but keep personal.
Co-Write (Duo) — Invite another member to co-write the post with you. It'll show both your names and avatars on the post, and they can edit it too.
Group Post — If you're in a Mom Group, you can post on behalf of the group so it shows the group name instead of your username.
Poll — Add a question with up to 4 answer choices and let the community vote.
Photos — Attach up to 4 photos to your post.
Series — Writing a multi-part post? Group them into a series so readers can follow along in order.
Schedule — Not ready to post right now? Pick a date and time and it'll go live automatically.
Reacting and replying works the way you'd expect — like or dislike posts, leave a reply in the comments, and now you can also reply directly to a specific comment so conversations stay organized. Hit the Reply button under any comment to respond to that person specifically.
Fix Button — Pressing this will have very smart AI scan your post and fix any grammar, spelling, or punctuation mistakes in your post.
The Post of the Week is a gold-highlighted post pinned to the top of the feed — our admin picks one post each week that really stood out to the community.
Following and friends — you can follow any member to see their posts in your Following feed, and send friend requests to build your circle. Your profile shows everything you've posted, liked, and bookmarked.
Ask an Admin — any questions? Good thing there is an Ask an Admin feature called "Questions."
Rating and Suggestions — Loving the site? If you are, then feel free to rate us from 1 to 5 stars. Don't like the site? Feel free to write a complaint or suggest a feature in our suggestion box.
Bookmarks — hit the bookmark icon on any post to save it for later. Find them all in your profile.
